Amanda specializes in working with adults, families, and adolescents facing difficulties such as anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, and life transitions. Amanda finds herself often working with family members of those struggling with addictions who are seeking assistance in finding ways to cope, set boundaries, overcome codependency, and best support themselves & loved ones during difficult times.
Amanda has extensive experience working with those affected by substance and behavioral addictions aiding both partners and those struggling with destructive compulsive behaviors including alcohol, drugs, sex and betrayal. Her approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, & Person-Centered Therapy. These modalities provide the space for self-expression and self-exploration in efforts to develop improved functioning, stronger boundaries and increasing the capacity for one's self-care.
